Bathed in the milky glow of moonlight, you’re sure to enjoy the non stop full moon party, if you like to socialise and dance within the confines of beautiful beach scenery. As you can guess, the next global event on our feature list is the full moon party in Thailand, which will happen on Saturday 29th August. This takes place along the Haad Rin beach in Koh Phangan, where you can benefit from the best view of the glowing, yellow moon. As dusk starts to fall, lamps and small tables are set up in preparation.
The gathering was originally initiated by a small bunch of tourists, gradually growing in size, until between 10,000 to 30,000 tourists were flocking from all over the world. It’s easy to get caught up in the vibrant and energetic atmosphere, since the party caters for all music tastes, making use of 12 major sound systems that run along the beach. You’re strongly encouraged to take your dancing shoes – you’ll need them! And it’s not just the fantastic tunes and company that ensure great entertainment. You’ll also get to see acts such as juggling. If things really heat up, you might even get to see fire eaters! Of course, like any large social gathering involving drinking, you’re advised to be responsible. Make sure you don’t lose or misplace your belongings. If the tide gathers them up, they may well be lost at sea!
If you’re attending this event, or if you’d like to share your experience, please do feel free to chat. If you’ve decided that you might like to attend, but you haven’t booked yet, don’t despair!
