Following on from the Prime Minister’s message regarding new, stricter measures to tackle the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to give you some more information about how we are securing our business in order to minimise the negative impact on our service to you, whilst also ensuring we remain responsible in the way we work during this crisis.

During these uncertain times, all of us here at SVM are concerned about the welfare of our families, friends, colleagues and, of course, you our valued clients.

Our thoughts are with those of you who have been personally affected by this outbreak and to all those who are working so hard, some at the risk of their own lives, to try to suppress the grip it has on not only our nation, but the whole world.

For over a decade now, we have been thankful for the trust and loyalty you have placed in us to provide you with quality benefit and reward programmes for your employees and members.

We at SVM have developed and updated our business continuity plans in order to respond to this emergency and have put in place the following measures:

  • Remote Working
    For the majority of our staff, work can be conducted through remote server connection and online hubs, allowing them to work from home.
  • On-site Safety
    Where staff home working isn’t possible (specifically in our fulfilment department) we are working with a scaled down team and following social distancing and hygiene protocols based on guidance from the UK health authority. This includes always keeping at least 2 meters apart, wearing protective gloves and ensuring all shared surfaces are cleaned regularly. Staff will only spend the time required on-site to complete daily orders.
  • Our Suppliers.
    We have ensured more than adequate stock levels for physical gift cards in order to alleviate the need for deliveries over this crisis period.
  • Our Services
    We have confidence in our robust IT structure to ensure no disruption to the current service provided to you. All our internal systems, tools and software are designed to allow for remote work.

We are also now seeking ways in which we can extend our services to assist schools, key workers and local authorities to help find efficient, cost-effective and low-contact solutions for any emergency payment needs that they may have.

We believe that currently we have every reason to stay open and are following government guidance daily. We will adjust our operations according to the most up-to-date advice given.

Alongside the above, we are also asking all our employees to:

  • Limit all travel by staying at home and working remotely wherever possible until government restrictions have been lifted.
  • Cancel all face to face meetings with partners, opting for a virtual meeting space instead for the foreseeable future.
  • Adhere to all government advice in their personal lives alongside those in place for their employment.
